Matthew Matt James was born in North Carolina on December 5 1991. He is the daughter of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. He has a Nigerian father and a Caucasian woman. He graduated of Sanderson High School. In 2015, James earned an undergraduate degree in Economics from Wake Forest University. James gained fame when the show The Bachelorette as a reality TV celebrity. In the year 2020, he was selected to be the next bachelor in season 25, making him his only African American male lead which will premiere in 2021. James was a perfect fit to the job because his height is tall, handsome and well-rounded with a sense humor. Rachael Krakconnell, whom James had picked as his wife to be with for the rest of the season. In season 30 (in 2021) of Dancing with the Stars, it was a dance with Arnold. James as well as Arnold came 12th.
